Interesting. This morning, walking to Math class, I was thinking about Firefly, and my mind randomly jumped to Space Cases, an old Nickelodeon show I last saw seven years ago.

Just now, I was looking up the FF actors on IMDB, and it turns out that Jewel Statie, who plays Kaylee, played Catalina on Space Cases.

Upbeat young girls with exceptional prowess in spacecraft mechanics. Good to see that she’s not typecast or anything. :D

Gotta love the subconscious.

Dude! Master and Commander is out? BILLEH! Man, could the past few days get any better? The other day, I find that Extended Edition scene, and this evening I find a link to the entirety of Sniper 470. Of course, fate seems to decree that I must be desperate to see my beloved Scotsman. Master and Commander isn’t playing at the cushy, sparkly new theatre on 40th where I went to see Kill Bill and The Matrix. Instead, it’s only playing at the skanky, rundown theatre on 39th where mum and I saw Men in Black II last year when checking out the campus. Oh well. Billeh is worth it. My mind shall be elevated from my surroundings at the first sign of his accent, and I shall transcend the grime and achieve happiness. Mmm, Billeh.

Ah, nothing like the pitter-patter of little feet. Okay, massive feet. Stomping along to Dance Dance Revolution.

Curse these thin walls.

I went shopping today! With Rachel and Tricia and Carmen. Tomorrow is the Hill Semiformal (quoi?), and although I had an outfit, none of my friends did, and I’ve been looking for an excuse to go shopping for some long sleeved shirts, as they have become a staple in my Philadelphia Winter Wardrobe. Three hours later, we randomly walked by my comics store, so I stopped in to see if the fourth issue of 1602 was out yet. It was! So when we all finished shopping after four hours, everyone was more or less happy. And I got chocolate soymilk at Fresh Grocer, so today is officially a Good Day.

Mmm, I’ll drink nothing but soy to have comfort and joy. Bat Boy wasn’t too far off.

Grk, I hate tests that are almost entirely coding. There’s so much leeway! So many places where you could inadvertently slip… bah. Fortunately, there’s also a lot of partial credit, so all is keen. I hate that feeling where you’re pretty sure that your solution works, but there’s so much blank space that you feel like you’re missing something… Oh well. Midterms are over! Par-tay! I’m pretty sure I didn’t fail!

This morning, I awoke with a start. I looked at the clock: 9:12 (Rachel’s clock is 15 minutes fast).

There was a perfect moment of crystallized half-awake terror.

My thought processes: Oh dear god. 9:12. My first class starts at 9. Oh my god, Computer Science. MY MIDTERM!

Then: Wait… I’m not taking Art History anymore. My first class starts at 11, not 9.

Then: Oh. Today is Thursday, not Friday. My first class starts at noon. My midterm is tomorrow. Everything is okay.

I’d love to go to sleep for an extra two hours, but evil workmen are playing with chainsaws RIGHT OUTSIDE MY WINDOW. Gah, what else do they need to do, other than planting grass? I thought the construction was more-or-less finished! Aaaaarg.

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

My audio was rather wonky, but the PoA trailer IS SO AMAZINGLY COOL! Oooh, I definitely think I’m going to like Alfonso Cuaron’s direction. Hurrah, a Harry Potter movie not ridiculously twee!

Still looking forward to “The Brotherly Embrace.” Muahaha.

EDIT: Okay, Lupin no longer looks like Hitler. Instead, he reminds me of The Duke from Moulin Rouge. Make the nasty moustache go away, mommy!
