Some stuff that is cool:

Sneak Preview of Gaiman’s delicious stop-motion tale Coraline. Oh, Laika, you are so awesome.

The Merry-Go-Round Broke Down — a HILARIOUS story that everyone needs to read right now, in which the cast of Who Framed Roger Rabbit must solve the serial murders of CGI characters. Even if you haven’t seen the movie in years, the humor and cultural commentary shine through.

The Vienna Vegetable Orchestra. As Mickey said, it brings new meaning to “playing with your food.”

Nine Most Badass Bible Verses.

EEE, PRINCE CASPIAN TRAILER! Oooh, the PRETTY!

The Color of Magic poster. I continue to have Major Problems with the casting of both leads (1. TOO OLD, 2. TOO NOT ASIAN), but hopefully it’ll be entertaining nonetheless.

*chortles* In more WGA-fallout news: Since the strike began, there has been much speculation about what cable programs might make the move to broadcast television as networks attempt to keep viewers as scripted programming dries up. Psych is moving to NBC (YAY, more viewers = more love! Though apparently this is just the older episodes, because all the advertisements for season 2 say it’ll be on USA) and CBS is considering airing a cleaned-up version of the Showtime hit Dexter. Dexter? Cleaned up? BAHAHAHA. The show would be five minutes long! Deb would just be one prolonged BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP. Come to think of it, I would pay money to see Cleaned-Up Dexter.

In a similar vein (ha!), “This time there will be Torchwood for everyone as BBC2 will also air a “kid friendly” version cut down to remove any post-watershed worthy scenes.” Again, will every episode only be five minutes long?

Wow. Just when I ask the universe for a knitting project, a coworker finds out he’s the father of his friend’s nine-month-old son.

…um, thanks?

Anyway: CONGRATULATIONS, COWORKER! You’re going to make such a good daddy!

Oh. My. God.

I just had the second most amazing burger in the universe. The first, of course, is from Jack’s Burger House in Dallas. But… *Homer Simpson donut-lust noise.*

Wow. Burger.

In less gastronomic news, today we had photos taken for the soon-to-be-launched Launch website, which will actually have (gasp) content! You’ll finally be able to see some of the stuff I’ve been working on these past months! Joe had a very professional lighting setup, and as a result, I felt like America’s Next Top Model. I hope I can snag some of the rather gorgeous pictures Joe took for my own fiendish purposes, because daaaaang, I pretty today!

Yeah, I’m feeling good.

Woohoo! We got cable this morning! Sangita and I inaugurated our enormous, gorgeous new TV by watching the last few minutes of The Addams Family Values, which I hadn’t seen since it first came out in ’93. I laughed my head off when I recognized Mercedes McNabb, who played Harmony on Buffy and Angel, and David Krumholtz, who played Mr. Universe in Serenity, as the two main campers. Then an ikkle wee Christina Ricci as Wednesday and Christopher Lloyd as Uncle Fester and a cameo by Nathan Lane… hilarity.

Then I picked up a wireless router and hooked it up this afternoon, so finally our apartment has dependable internet! Then I stopped by the Apple store and bought an external hard drive so I can back my stuff up and finally transfer all the stuff from my old laptop to the new. And the gorgeous Colinette yarn I bought online for my Maeve wig arrived today, so woo, aaallll kinds of accomplishments today! I can’t wait to start putting it together.

I love having such an intense work week, as it motivates me to get a lot accomplished over the weekend, which makes me feel great about myself. Plus, it gets me out and about in the city, which is always a plus. Rock on.

…And why did my RSS feed just go all spammy? Apologies to anyone reading my blog that way.

But on a totally unrelated note, the order for the posters went through, so I call this a win!
