Priscilla said at 7:58 PM My resolutions:
Priscilla said at 7:53 PM Heeeey, Whisky got a facelift! Purdyness, Kell, dear!
Priscilla said at 7:47 PM I. Hate. My. Car.
How can I make this clear enough? I hate it. I hate the bloody thing. There I was, finally going out to get the first food I'd had today (as my sister was hogging the car and I didn't realize the keys to my parents' cars were in our posession), when I saw that my sister had left me with a nearly empty tank of gas. I stopped by Shell, which was nicely on my way, and filled the tank. Going well so far. Getting into the car, however, was when the trouble started. The key wouldn't turn. You may have remembered me blogging about getting stranded at Borders and then Hockaday in this same fashion. Well now I was stranded again. I tried every trick in the book, to no avail. Finally, I called my sister, who picked up on my fourth attempt. She said she'd come and rescue me. About twenty minutes later (my house is about 5 blocks away...), my sister arrived, a white knight in a gleaming silver stallion of a Mercedes (Percy, I love my mom's car). She tried everything she knew, as well, but the car remained ignitionless. Finally, we gave up, and she took me home. I took everything of value out of the car (I now realize that I left four of my favourite CDs), including my Monsters Inc antenna ball, which I commented was probably worth more than the car (and I got it for free). Hopefully, we'll be able to rescue the stupid thing when my parents come back tomorrow. I can't wait until I get rid of the stupid thing and I get my new car. We looked at a Lexus the other day (the RX-300. ::smooches::), and we decided that this was definitely the car for me. No longer will I have to put up with idiot minivans that are so old that they could be carbon dated! Idiot minivans that go from 0-60 in about 20 seconds. Idiot minivans that decide to spite you with their evilness, stranding you at Borders or at school or at a gas station. Ihateyou Ihateyou I hateyou! ::kicks imaginary minivan:: ::hisses:: Bah. Priscilla said at 7:11 PM I've just realized that my last bunch of entries have all been either quiz results or links elsewhere. How about a taste of what's actually going on in my life?
Yesterday, my parents went out of town to spend New Year's with friends. My sister and I were left to fend for ourselves, taking into consideration the brewing snowstorm my father forsees. I also finished the scarves for Chungy (so that I could give it to her at tonight's NYE party) and Nancy (so that she could take it to Colorado). I'm starting on one for Mrs. Felice, as I couldn't think of anything to get her except "Maskerade", which will hopefully warm her up to the prospect of doing something Discworld for the Jesuit spring play. I'm crossing my fingers. It's not very likely, but still, there is hope. Mort, Wyrd Sisters, Maskerade, Carpe Jugulum... you never know. I'm feeling an unusual affinity for "Maskerade" at the moment, probably as a result of getting the score of "Phantom of the Opera" stuck in my head, despite listening to nothing but "Let it Be", "Abbey Road", and Renata's Fesive Holiday Mix for the past week. Today, I'm working on the new format for tnm.n. You remember that format I was gushing about a few weeks ago? It's been sacked. I've found a new format that I truly love, and I hope that I will continue to love it into the new year. I want it to be up tomorrow, just for the sheer novelty of January 1st. If that doesn't happen, 2-2-2002 is looking pretty attractive. Anyway, I'm hungry. I've eaten all the leftovers and my sister has the car. And her cell phone is turned off. Meh. ::hisses:: I would throw sand in the eyes of a small child for a Jack's burger right now. In other news, I finally watched the last installment of "Edward the Less" this morning. Pure genius. ::prays for funding:: I can't wait to see what they do with "Two Towers", if indeed they go ahead with it. While somewhat eerie to see them emerging from other forms, it's great to hear the voices of Mike and Crow and Pearl, among others. ::sighs happily:: I wonder if I can convince Marcelina to bring her MST3K tapes to the party tonight... On the book front, I finished "The Amazing Maurice..." the other night. Hurrah! Sluggy is highly entertaining today. Erm... I think that's it. ::nods:: Back to work! Priscilla said at 3:38 PM Priscilla said at 3:25 PM I want one! ::glomps Legolas:: You are my herd, Renata.

Daily Sketch updated for the first time in over a month. Yo.
Priscilla said at 8:49 PM That was Anthony in "A Beautiful Mind"? I thought so! Ooh, I'm so cool. ::grooves:: In response to your question, Renata, he had a bit part, but he did very well in it. Hurrah!
Priscilla said at 7:26 PM ::laughs uproariously:: Go here. Now.
Priscilla said at 2:19 PM Christmas cards will go out eventually. Apologies to all those who have sent me their addresses. I'll get free time soon! Iana is leaving tomorrow, so I'll have some time to myself soon. In the meantime, here's my online Christmas card. I must say that I'm pleased with the way it came out. The clothes looked a lot better before I shrank them.

I'm amused. Iana is obsessed with movies, so I've seen more movies in the past week than I have in the last seven years of my life. Today I saw "Amelie" again, which is still fabulous for the third time. Last night, we saw "A Beautiful Mind", which was just plain awesome. Lots of "6th Sense"-ness going on. Christmas, the family went to see LOTR again, which still astounds me with its fabulousness. ::dies happy:: I think I'll try to see it on IMAX, as Kell said it was quite enjoyable. This movie is the greatest eye-feast since Moulin Rouge.
Priscilla said at 9:48 PM Admire BMB's shibby new layout. Yes, indeed.
Priscilla said at 9:33 PM Amusing experience of the day: While reading Ann's blog, I see mention of a Jeeves and Wooster/Pokémon crossover. In my mind, I read this as Jesus/Pokémon crossover.
Sunday school teacher: Children, will you accept Jesus into your hearts? Kids: Jesus, I choose YOU! ::polite cough:: Yeah. With that in mind, be truly afraid of this. Priscilla said at 9:31 PM Stolen from Ann. You'd think we'd be used to this by now.
![]() You're Jem You're so nice. My gut hurts from being around you.... Take the Hologram/Misfit Test ![]() Priscilla said at 10:58 AM
Tragically, it turns out that you're RINGO. CONGRATULATIONS! While your fellow band members have aged terribly from a combination of the barrage of drugs they did in their youth, and the toll of extreme success, YOUR looks haven't changed in the least since you were FIVE YEARS OLD! See:
Our sources indicate you will someday be the last surviving Beatle, and may in fact live forever. Although your singing and songwriting talents weren't quite on par with the rest of the boys, your drumming suited the band quite well and your sanity and niceness were what kept the Beatles together as long as they were. So be proud of your Ringoness! Although most know you only by the size and shape of your nose, you're actually a very three-dimensional character (haha, get it?), who enjoys wholesome activities such as being a good sport while others make fun of you, acting, chocolate pudding, and pillow fights. Tell the world (or your livejournal buddies) of your new blue-eyed Ringo-ness! Take the Which Beatle Are You? Quiz. Priscilla said at 10:50 AM I'm really, really sorry about this.

Odd. The same thing happened to me, Renata. Blogger randomly changed my password to "1". I changed it back, of course. I wonder if anyone else had this problem... Later, when in the BadCandy chat, I encountered a bunch of people that had this happen. Oddness.
Anyway, I really cleaned up this Christmas! From my parents, I got an MP3 player, a CD case, a car CD holder, a bunch of books (physics, art, humor, etc.), and some old theatre posters from Ten Little Indians, The Pajama Game, Aida, and Rent (I told my mom that I was going to revoke my dad's eBay privelidges, as I have no more wall space for posters). I was especially amused regarding another gift. A week ago, my dad called me, asking which version of Photoshop I had. He was pleased to learn I just had 5.5. I took this to mean that he was getting me the 6.0 upgrade. Instead, it turned out that he got me the 5.0/5.5 Photoshop Wow Book (which is incredibly groovy). I guess I'm a bit disappointed, but I adore 5.5, so it's no big deal. Plus, I'll be figuring out all sorts of groovy Photoshop secrets, so it'll almost be like getting an upgrade. I've already learned stuff, and I've barely read any. Ultra groovyness. From Iana, I got two CDs (one with music by Bulgarian composers, the other of Bulgarian folk music. Super nifty.), a necklace, and a cross-stitched sunflower. From my aunt and uncle, I got a lovely bracelet, some books, a harmonica, and this handy pocket indescribable thing. Coolness. "A very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Let's hope it's a good one, without any fear." --John Lennon, "Happy Christmas" (War is Over) Priscilla said at 11:34 PM ::laughs:: One of the most amusing things about Elfwood is getting nasty comments. I love it. Today, I got comments from the infinitely mature metcalfjoe@hotmail.com, which read "u guys SUCK!", "jj", and "Thats a really good drawing of Ron, who did it?". I would have laughed my head off if the rest of my family wasn't asleep.
Another amusing thing: I just had a dream where I was taking to the Fourcast staff, and I told them that the major deciding factor on whether or not I read an article is based on whether they mention the Beatles or not. Then my friends and I decided to start stalking people in their houses if they had a cute accent. Happy Holidays, everyone! I'll be finishing up the Sannali collaboration soon, then I'll start working on my Christmas card. Sure, it'll be a little late, but it'll be worth it! Priscilla said at 10:39 AM

I love this picture. It's old, but it never ceases to amuse me.
Priscilla said at 11:05 AM ::laughs crazily:: I just made the connection! I occasionally get really silly Elfwood comments from people who think they're being serious. One of my favourites was Brittany Ford, who practically posted an essay about how much she hated Wormtail. I just realized that this is Britt of the Professional Dork Mafia, Ron's Girl on WOFS! ::giggles:: Oh, that made my day. I love you, Britt!

Should I make a "Priscilla's Life Glossary" to go along with this weblog? I think it would make life a great deal simpler. What do you think? Comment, you insane lemmings.Guess what? It finally happened. ::pokes Renata:: Check it out here. Comment or email me if you have any suggestions. Priscilla said at 12:41 AM

This wins the prize for "most useless holiday gift" of the day. No one wants a chocolate hammer, cell phone, or TV dinner.
Priscilla said at 9:55 PM Hurrah! Two joyous packages the mail brings! One contains a positively groovin' music mix from Renata, bearing all sorts of highly entertaining holiday favourites such as "I wanna be Christ" by Stuart Davis, "The Night Santa Went Crazy" by Weird Al, and Space Ghost's "Twelve Days of Christmas". I can't wait to listen to it all! It also contained a great deal of candy. The other joyous package contained a DVD of "Spaceballs" (unopened) purchased on eBay, plus a hardback "Men at Arms" which was so inexpensive that I couldn't resist (and still in perfect condition). Same guy, so there was no extra shipping cost. I figure that if I have several copies of Harry Potter in case someone wants to borrow them, I might as well get spare copies of my other most frequently lent books, especially when they're sold dirt cheap. Muaha!
I'm getting my friend Nancy hooked on the series, as well. She's lending me "Star by Star", the most recent NJO Star Wars book, and I'm lending her "Guards! Guards!". Which reminds me! I finally found a copy of the G!G! graphic novel on Amazon UK for 8L (about $12, which is fairly good for a huge graphic novel like this), which is quite an improvement over the absolutely ridiculous $50-60 offered in the Amazon US shops. Now I just have to see if I can find a cheaper copy at Half Price Books. Fellow RMLer Sean found the Mort graphic novel at a Half Price Books, so I'm hoping they might be offering "Guards! Guards!" as well. ::skips about merrily:: Meanwhile, I'm virtually finished with Chungy's scarf. I just have to figure out how to bind off the end, knowledge which is easily gleanable online (doesn't coining words just make your day?). Now I'm working on a slightly smaller one for my "aunt" Nancy, my mom's best friend. If I have time, I want to do one for Mrs. Felice, as well. My own Markscarf has been put on the backburner for quite a while. So, in short, schnoogles abound to Renata, for being groovy; Thomas Pendergast, for shipping so quickly; Nancy, for being malleable; Other Nancy, for being the most wonderful woman in the world; Sean, for being informative; Mrs. Felice, for putting up with me; and Chungy, for being my best friend. Not to mention everyone reading this, for tolerating my ridiculous blog obsession. Happy Holidays to the lot of you! Priscilla said at 5:46 PM Yowza! I haven't posted in my sketchblog for nearly a week! I need to get on the ball. I'll scan some of my recent stuff later today, hopefully.
Arg. I love hanging out with Iana, but I feel like I can't get anything done, because I feel like I need to be constantly keeping her entertained. Now I won't get done half the web design stuff I wanted to. Plus, I have no idea when I'll be able to finish the Sannali collaboration, which is already rediculously late. Sannali -- next time you want to collaborate, give me a deadline! I can't work without deadlines. Otherwise I keep putting it off for things that *do* have deadlines. Gah, I'm sorry. I *will* have it done! And within the next 3 days, too! In the meantime, hope for Monica's safety. Nasty political upheavals in Argentina, to say the very least. ::hugs Monica:: Priscilla said at 12:11 PM Did anyone notice that the guy who plays Elrond in Lord of the Rings also played Agent Smith in The Matrix? I kept cracking up during that scene for that reason. I got dirty looks.
Meanwhile, when I went to Ocean's Eleven this evening, I saw two girls dressed up in this fabulous medieval/elvish garb. I complimented them. They seemed very relieved that I knew they were going to see LotR, as opposed to just being a pair of delusional nutcases. Yay. So it's all good. Priscilla said at 12:35 AM Priscilla said at 12:30 AM There I was, surrounded by Bulgarians. Every so often, I would catch the familiar strains of "Back in the USSR" or "Bungalow Bill" as we hovered around the plastic card table, dealing out cards for a new game. A mix of traditional Mexican, Bulgarian, and Barbeque cooking and a trip to the theatre to see Ocean's Eleven.
And so I spent my evening. Priscilla said at 12:19 AM

Rar. I'm seriously annoyed. Last night, we had a JETS party, and we rented Moulin Rouge. I was incredibly disappointed. It's one of my favourite movies ever, but it loses a lot of its magical quality on its translation to the small screen. Depressing. Entertainment Weekly said that it was coming back to theatres this month, but I think it was misinformation, because I haven't heard anything else about it. ::hisses::

Now *this* is why I clean my room! I just unearthed printed versions of two of my earliest graphical manipulations. Early 1999. Sure, they're awful, but they're highly entertaining. Apologies for the lousy image quality. Fans of Star Wars and The X-Files should be amused.
I heard it was a lone gungan -- parody of "Unusual Suspects". X says "I heard it was a lone gunman" which gives the gunmen their name. I heard that there was a new race in "Phantom Menace" called the gungans, and this image was born. Jedi -- Anyone can tell you I love the gunmen. Here they are as jedi. This never fails to amuse me. Priscilla said at 7:21 PM I can't believe I'm writing Crucible fanfic...
Priscilla said at 1:16 PM Crud. I left Chloe off, too.
Priscilla said at 1:13 PM Holy cow! Despite reminding myself about 50 times, I forgot to put Sannali on "Who's Who". Doy. Gah, today I'll make a list of all the people I left off the list and update it tonight when I get home from school. Huge apologies, Sannali, dear.
Priscilla said at 6:59 AM Stuff I wanted to post yesterday but couldn't because blogger was being evil :
1. I finally found a bunch of images that had been deleted from tnm.n when I accidentally lost most of the site a month ago. You should find far fewer broken images in my archives now. And on Renata's inspiration, I'm redoing my "Who's Who" page. I think I'll steal her format, too. You don't mind, do you? ::huge, pleading, watery eyes:: 2. Meanwhile, here's the "Amusing Piece of Junkmail of the Whenever" 3. Woo! Rent fanart! (1, 2) I didn't even think that existed! And really GOOD Rent fanart, at that! Mark's hairstyle worrys me, though. 4. My new "Who's Who" listing is complete! Muaha! Priscilla said at 6:54 AM

Priscilla said at 11:43 PM What do you think of the new blog layout? Preview and send me your comments! I still need to do button things for the poll, archives, and all the rubbish that used to be on the right bar. If you have any ideas, though, I'd love to hear them.
Priscilla said at 11:35 PM Ooooh, that was so cool. Because I got out at 3:45, after school I raced home and arrived around 4 or 4:05: the time for maximum eclipse viewage. I got out a gigantic piece of cardboard (about 4x7 feet), an easel, a hairbrush with a mirror in the back, mailing tape, and a bag to prop up the cardboard (and the convenient neighbor's car ^_^;) and made an eclipse viewer. It's very simple. I propped up the easel and adjusted it so that I could easily let the mirrored hairbrush rest in the easel prong things. Then I taped over most of the mirror, leaving a square slightly less than an inch on each side. I propped up the cardboard using the neighbor's car and the bag, then aimed the hairbrush so that the reflected light would hit the cardboard (the mirror and cardboard were about 25-30 feet apart). Just as it is in a pinhole camera, the reflected light gave me a perfect reproduction of the light present. Because the only light bright enough to be picked up by the naked eye was the eclipse, projected onto the cardboard was a circle of light with a bite taken out of it -- how nifty is that? I took some pictures, but I don't think they'll come out very well, as the projection was rather faint. It was still really cool, though. I can't wait until the next eclipse! Maybe I can set up a bunch of pinhole cameras or summat. I'll develop the film later and print some up if you can see anything. Ah, the joys of science...
Priscilla said at 4:45 PM I absolutely love my new weblog format. I'll try to get it up this weekend, but if I don't, I'll put it up over the holidays. It's so nifty. T'is Invader Zim themed. Muaha.
Priscilla said at 2:06 PM Even though he's evil, Mr. Dumaine is my hero. He assigned a writing assignment the second after we turned in our research paper. The rough draft is due Monday, then we have an enormous Crucible test Wednesday, and then we have to turn in the final draft on Thursday. Psycho. But anyway, when questioned about how long it should be, he suggested we use "The skirt analogy". He explained that this meant "long enough to cover the subject, but short enough to be interesting". I was amused.
Priscilla said at 1:23 PM We were watching "Rush Hour 2" the other day during Y-Period. I finally figured out where Kell got the phrase "Bite it like a little monkey". I was amused.
Priscilla said at 1:19 PM Thanks for the link, Kell!
Priscilla said at 1:17 PM Ann's festive holiday survey:
1. When do you put your Christmas decorations up? Today, actually. 2. Do you prefer to use Christmas lights that are all one color, or do you go for the multicolor effect? Whites. My mom thinks it looks prettier that way, so what she says, goes. 3. Real tree or fake? Real 4. Where do you get your tree? From whatever tree-dealer is open and stocked three days before Christmas. 5. Perfectly shaped tree, or one with character? Perfectly shaped. 6. Where do you put your tree? Living room. Northwest corner. On top of a short table. 7. Tinsel or garland? Tinsel. 8. Blinking lights or solid lights on the tree? Solid. Christmas trees are the only occasion where I don't like blinking lights. 9. What sits on the very top of your tree? Changes from year to year. 10. Eggnog or hot chocolate? Eggnog for the older folks, hot chocolate for me. 11. What does your family Christmas feast consist of? Traditional. Turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie, mashed potatoes, green beans, chocolate cake, and obscene quantities of gravy. 12. What day do you typically hold your Christmas celebrations? Christmas morning and afternoon. 13. When do you open your presents? Whenever my sister finally wakes up. 14. Do you open them all at once, or one by one? One by one. 15. Favorite Christmas movie? We don't have a traditional Christmas movie. Dunno. 17. Do you have any family holiday traditions that you partake in each year? Wake up, wake up sister, wake up parents (though those switched places in recent years), parents go downstairs and set up video camera (which never works), parents try to charge up batteries that never work, children complain, parents give up on camera, parents invite daughters downstairs, family opens stockings and a few presents. Later, aunt and uncle (and until recently, grandfather) arrive, and the rest of the presents are opened. Then Christmas lunch is eaten, and everyone spends the rest of the day either moaning in pain from swolen bellies or playing with new toys. 18. For New Year's Eve, do you go out, or stay in? We have a JETS slumber party. Priscilla said at 1:13 PM Survey time! (of doom)
[spell your name backwards] allicsirp (or "y-o-u-r-n-a-m-e-b-a-c-k-w-a-r-d-s") [where do you live?] inside my head [describe yourself in three words] millenium hand & shrimp [who is your worst enemy?] The Olsen Twins and Martha Stewart [if you could have any animal for a pet, what would it be?] a ferret, a phoenix, and a politician [have you ever used a spork?] certainly. [do you even know what a spork is?] you insult me. [what is the latest you've ever stayed up?] all night [ever been to belgium?] yes, but I don't remember. [what's your favourite coin?] Sacagawea dollars and pennies, because they have Lincoln on them. [wallet] I have two. One is grey and clothlike and nifty with a homemade stick-figure ID card that says "Don't hate me because I'm beautiful". The other is made of duct tape, but I don't use it as much because it doesn't hold coins well. [brush] ugly green and large. Works well, though. [toothbrush] fancy purple one. I also have a Darth Vader toothbrush, but its too nifty to use. [jewelry worn daily] my watch and (until it broke) my Saggitarius necklace. [pillow cover] I have a lot of pillows, but my favourite has a pretty blue case. [blanket] Lots. My favourite has a sheep design in the same pattern as my sheep pajamas. [coffee cup] Coffee makes you weak. Coffee is for sissies. But I once made my mom a coffee cup that was light blue with white polka dots and an anthromorphic sun that said "Wake up and smell the coffee". It was awesome. [sunglasses] stylish blue ones. My mom got them for me; I had no choice. [underwear] varies. Big, old lady underwear, because wedgies are the bane of my existence. [shoes] weekdays, my uniform 11 1/2 EE saddle oxfords. When faced with a choice, my purple tennis shoes, my size 42 birkenstocks, or my 20-year-old tennis shoes that my parents have forbidden me from wearing. [nail polish] Naked, as Renata said. No polish! Fie upon polish. [handbag] a plastic bag from Borders to hold my knitting. [favourite top] my "Percy is God and Boba Fett" t-shirt or my JETS shirts that I designed. Occasionally my Cuba t-shirt. [favourite pants] my nifty jeans. [cologne] icky. [cd in stereo right now] At home, CD2 of the White Album in my stereo, with Abbey Road in my alarm clock. Chungy is playing Simon and Garfunkel at the moment, though. [tattoos] Gods no. [piercings] I pierced my ears a long time ago, but they have since grown back. [current music] "The Sound of Silence" by Simon and Garfunkel [wearing] school uniform of doom. [hair] long and brown and floofy and gorgeous. Muah! [makeup] No. [in my mouth] teeth... tongue... bacteria... [in my head] fog [hearing] Marcelina working out her algebra homework out loud. And lots of keys. Chungy has since turned off Simon and Garfunkel because it started skipping. [wishing] that I had more free time to read Pratchett and knit. And that Mr. Dumaine would stop being fiendish and not assign us to write what is essentially Crucible fanfic. And that winter break would get here, pronto. [after this] lunch [talking to] Chungy, who is swooning over Norwegians. Priscilla said at 12:09 PM

I plan on doing that amusing-looking survey in Renata's blog as soon as I finish my paper. A little motivation never hurt anyone. Gah, now I need to get back to work before my break gets any longer.

Priscilla said at 8:57 PM Hey, Rebecca M has the same birthday as Chungy! ::blinks, then goes back to working on her paper::
During school, I did a lot of knitting on Chungy's scarf. I want to steal it. I'm obsessed with this new yarn stuff! It's soft and comfy and it's thick, so it's much faster to knit. In the small amount of free time I've had today, I've done nearly nine inches! ::dances:: It's 10 inches wide, just to give you a reference. That much would have taken me something like 3 hours with the yarn I used fo my Markscarf. Woo! I'm definitely going to start making scarves and selling them on eBay. Muaha. Priscilla said at 4:38 PM

Priscilla said at 10:19 PM I just got Alicey's Christmas card! ::dances merrily and schnoogles Alicey:: Hurrah! Gah, I can't wait until Thursday is gone, and I'll be able to concentrate on things other than my research paper. I'll be able to finish Sannali's collab graphic, as I'm sure she's itching to put up her new layout, and I'll be able to make my holiday cards and such. And I'll finish my scarf and I'll start work on Chungy's scarf and all will be groovy. Ah, Thursday. ::happy sigh::
Priscilla said at 6:39 PM ::snickers:: I was just looking in my school directory. I feel so sorry for Mr. Dumaine's wife! Her name is Lorraine Dumaine. ::amused::
Priscilla said at 6:27 PM Muaha, I finally found the perfect gift for Chungy's birthday! I won't say what it is here, because she occasionally reads this. I ran some "I love myself" errands as well! I went to Lone Star Comics to see if they had the "Guards! Guards!" graphic novel, but they didn't. Meh. I saw it in my beloved Bookshop of Niftyness in England, but noooooo, I didn't like the Watch then, did I? ::hisses at herself:: Stupid American publishers. Then I went to MJDesigns, where I picked up some really nifty, soft yarnish stuff for the scarf I'm making for Chungy for Christmas (she already knows about it, so no point in hiding it). Then off to Borders, where I had to fight a craving to buy everything in sight. Books are my drugs. In addition to Chungy's birthday present, I picked up "The Amazing Maurice...", because I'm no longer planning on getting anything else off Amazon UK for a while. ::wrinkles nose at Chungy for buying all the Tom Holt books in existence so that her dear Priscilla would be clueless as to what to get her for various gifts, etc::
Priscilla said at 5:45 PM I have declared myself a pun-dit.
Chungy: It's an amusing moose! Chloe: It's a loose moose? Everyone: A loose moose! Chloe: I can imagine a transvestite Bulwinkle. Me: [Frank-N-Furter] Oh, Rocky! Priscilla said at 1:15 PM Joy of all joys! I just got an email from Mrs. Radtke, my supercool English teacher from last year, and she said that she found my copy of "The Color of Magic"! I had lent her "Wyrd Sisters" and "TCoM" last year, but neither of us could remember if she had given TCoM back, because we both have forgetful minds like that. It turns out that it was in Dust Bunny Heaven, underneath Mrs. Radtke's bed. She found it while she was cleaning. Now I'll have my beloved Pratchettness back! ::dances merrily:: I can introduce Chungy to Rincewind!

My new desktop image. Don't you love searching for random stuff in the Google Image Search?
Priscilla said at 10:21 PM Hurrah! I contributed Captain Planet to the pool, allowing me initiation into the Husband of the Month Club. Marcelina, Chungy, Elizabeth, and I agreed that my husband for December is Paul McCartney. He can sing me festive holiday songs and we can sit by the warm, toasty fire, and I can give him a big hug. ::squeals:: Share the Paul-love!
Priscilla said at 9:30 PM So then I got this idea about driving a cheesecake truck, cause I figured at the end of the day, I could take all the leftover cheesecakes home, cause I love cheesecake. So I went to the cheesecake company and they asked me if I could drive a truck, and I said "yes", and they said "you're hired". So the next day, I got in the truck (with all the cheesecakes) and I drove it a block, but I just had to have a cheesecake, so I pulled over and I opened the truck and I took a cheesecake out and I also took one for later and I took one for my friend Farm Boy and I took one to take home, and by that time I'd eaten one of the cheesecakes, so I took another one. Now it's lunchtime, so I eat ten cheesecakes and a cheesecake for dessert. Oh, I might point out, by the way, that all these cheesecakes were very delicious. Anyway, I figured that the only thing to do would be to eat all the rest of those cheesecakes and hide the truck somewhere and leave town. And I miss everybody a lot, but I'm not really sorry, because they were very delicious cheesecakes.
Priscilla said at 5:55 PM Hurrah! Winter Formal!,
In the grand tradition of Winter Formal night, my friends and I had a great time, despite being at the party only 45 minutes. We started at 6:00, where we met at Cafe Istanbul, a Middle Eastern restaurant that I thought I didn't like, but loved tonight. Usually I'm not the biggest fan of Middle Eastern cuisine, but I completely fell in love with the Turkish pizza. Turkish sausage, feta cheese, onion, and beef on this delicious, soft, thick-crusted bread. Everyone else kept taking all my food! Anyway, Chungy and Nancy arrived 30 minutes later, as is their wont, so we were almost late for "Amelie" next door at the Inwood. Marcelina, Cherise, and I were rather peeved at them. At Amelie, I was shocked that we weren't carded, as the movie is rated-R. I wanted to feel superior in the knowledge that I was now 17. Oh well. Amelie was still utterly fabulous the second time, and I reccomend it to anyone that's not an uncultured moron. Afterwards, we caravanned to Nancy's house so that Chungy could put on her dress. She and Margaret had made it the night before -- completely out of duct tape. Also, keep in mind that Chungy is the world's most terrifying driver in history. Let me tell you how close to impossible it can be to follow someone that goes 50 in a 35 mph zone. I lost her twice, as every Dallas resident and their dog drives a white car. I could only identify her car by the "2002" message daubed on the back windscreen by considerate Seniors. When we pulled up at Nancy's, I yelled at Chungy, and Cherise and Marcelina yelled at me until they realized that I was doing my best to follow Chungy, who was the true lunatic. Then we were just all yelling at Chungy. Unfortunately, Nancy's parents had gone out and the house was locked. We decided to go to the dance and immediately find some place to change her. The dress was gorgeous. Margaret is a genius. Chungy got tons of compliments. She was shocked that she was suddenly treated like a popular person. People loved my sexy date, R2-D2. I was still annoyed that I couldn't find Obi-Wan, though. At 10:40, we all left Hockaday for the Cinemark, as we had plans to see Harry Potter. Of course, Chungy informed us that the latest showing was at 10:30, so I drove everyone to the theater (in a sane manner) and we arrived in the middle of the first scene. Thank Percy for previews. I spent the movie explaining things to Marcelina, who hadn't read the books, and assuring her that the books were far better than the movie, as she was close to falling asleep. I also had a Percy/Oliver/Alan Rickman/Dan-Radcliffe-as-John-Lennon/Weasley twin swoonfest, and provided a running commentary with Cherise. Highly amusing. Afterwards, I took everyone back to their cars at Nancy's, and we all dispersed. All was right with the world. Now see our cool buttons. I tripped just as the guy was taking the second picture. Fun. See groovy Artoo and Chungy's fabulous dress. Top: Me, Artoo, and Chungy. Bottom: Nancy, me, Marcelina, Artoo, Cherise, Chungy, Emily, Mimi, and Emily's date. I'll post real pictures eventually. Is it a bad thing when you look at yourself in the mirror, wearing your sister's nifty Winter Formal dress, and the first thing thought that comes to mind is "Cheery Littlebottom"?
