Yowza! I just got back from a Mother's Day brunch-thing. I was talking with my Aunt Janet about theatre prospects for next year, and when I mentioned that "Bat Boy" was no longer in consideration from the Jesuit musical, she told me that Theatre 3 was doing "Bat Boy" as part of their season next year. Because one of the main roles is a teenager, I might be able to try out! At Janet's "Spring Forward/Fall Backward" party, I had met a bunch of big names in the Dallas theatre community, and one of the Theatre 3 heads told me that if they were planning on casting girls in my age group for a show, they'd let me audition. How amazingly cool would that be? ::squeals:: Joy!
