We had callbacks for "Ten Little Indians" today. The only role Mrs. Felice had me read was Emily, the psycho Christian fundie nun person. Originally I was a bit disappointed, as I wanted the role of Vera, the only girl who makes it through the play alive and gets to have fun mental breakdowns and such. However, while I was reading through the script with various other actors, I began to realize what an awesome role Emily could be. In one scene, I got to blow up at a girl and start reading passages from the Bible about sinners and hell and such. I had so much fun with it! By the end, I was spouting scripture with such fury that I was shaking. When I finished, Mrs. Felice shouted "Amen, sister!". I started laughing when we broke character. The entire experience was incredibly therapeudic. I think I have a great chance at landing the role, as there were only three or four girls called back for Emily, and the show's females are double-cast. Funfun! Cross your fingers, kiddies.
