How can I contact you?
If you have a question for me, it would save a lot of time for both parties if you made sure it wasn't already answered here in the OAQ. If it's not, then email me at priscellie@gmail.com. I get an amusing amount of email asking if they have the correct address. Please understand if it takes me a few days to get to your email. Weeks, even. When I'm under stress with school and I don't have much time to read email, questions about my website are the last thing I want to read, even if you are informing me that I have been elected God in a minor religion.
What is your AIM/Y!M/MSN/ICQ/etc screenname?
PriscillaofDoom on AIM, spockmonkey4 on Y!M. I don't have MSN or ICQ.
Can I use one of your images on my website?
Email me and we'll talk it over.
I saw someone using your art on this page...
Tell me. Don't email them about it, let me take care of it. After all, they might have my permission, for all we know.
Can I use one of your images for personal use?
"Personal Use" means just saving to your hard drive or using as your desktop pattern or whatever. Basically, an occasion where you are one of the only people who will see it. In that case, you don't have to email me. I don't know why you'd want to use my work on your desktop, as there are hundreds (if not thousands) of artists out there that are infinitely better than I, but it's actually happened. Once. So slip this in with the "Rarely Asked Questions" and move on...
How about your writings? Or anything else randomly filed under "Stuff"?
No. Printing out and showing your friends is perfectly acceptable, but posting it on your website or masquerading it as your own work is a definite no-no. If you think you have a special case, however, email me and I'll consider it.
Who is Ellie Rosenthal?
Ellie Rosenthal is my old alterego. I got sick of hiding behind a pseudonym, though, and I got rid of her. Good riddance.
Will you draw something for me?
Only if you pay me. I'm sorry, but I barely have enough time to draw for myself, much less for other people. However, if you have a *suggestion* as to what I should draw next, I tend to give those some thought. Keep in mind that asking for Harry Potter or Discworld fanart is infinitely more likely than asking for something I've never heard of.
Will you collaborate with me?
See above. Only if you pay me. Or if you're one of my good friends or I worship the ground you walk on.
Will you link to me?
That depends. If I know you and we are good friends, it's a given. If I worship the ground you walk on, it's a given. If you're a complete stranger to me, it's less likely. Still, email me anyway and give it a shot. What have you got to lose?
U SUCK!!!!!
I save these emails and laugh at them. Frequently, I mock the writers of these emails in my weblog. You won't accomplish anything here, buckoes.
What art programs to you use for your CGs?
My favourite of all is Photoshop 8/CS. I love it. It's my baby. Nearly everything you see here is produced in Photoshop. I'm trying to learn Painter 6, as well, but I still love Photoshop more. I also have a Wacom Intuos Tablet, which has changed my work dramatically. That tablet is my other baby.
What do you use for photography?
My camera (named "Mark" after the photographer from "RENT") is a Nikon FM-10. Completely manual. I also have a Nikon N-80 (named "Otto" after the vampire iconographer from Discworld's "The Truth", but as I can't use it with my Lensbaby or with infrared film, I tend to favor Mark. For digital work, I usually use my point-and-shoot Canon S-50. I also have several homemade pinholes and a Holga.
Lenses include a standard 35-70mm lens, 75-150mm, my beloved AF micro Nikkor 105mm, a fisheye, and a Lensbaby.
As for film, for black and white I usually shoot T-Max 400, or 100 depending on the situation. For Infrared, I shoot Kodak High Speed Infrared with a red filter (15A?). For color, I use Ektachrome 100-SW slide transparency film or Fuji 200 print film.
For cyanotypes, I use the Type I process. Organic material, placed directly on the page, left in the sun for about 30 minutes. I develop in ordinary Stop bath, then wash off all the excess undeveloped solution. I've started experimenting with Van Dykes, as well, but I don't have any of those posted. All work with non-silver processes is done in a home darkroom so that I don't pollute others' chemicals.
Can I give you a gift?
Gifts are awesome! I'll love you forever! I can't always return gifts, but I'll make a noble effort.
Will you marry me?
No, I'm already married. Tanja is a lovely wife, Sirius is a wonderful husband, and Percy is a perfect husband-in-law. ::happy sigh::
Will you host me?
No. Sorry. I barely have enough space myself.
Can you design a website for me? or Can I use your website design?
No. Besides, I'm horrible at web design! Go bother someone talented. XD
